As a health professional, a patient’s income, assets, or job title are irrelevant to the care provided. My sole focus is on improving the health of my patient.

At Croeso Financial Advice, we take a similar approach, focusing not on our clients’ assets, income, job titles, or education, but on the individual in front of us, helping them achieve financial success.

For many years, we have collaborated with high-net-worth clients in Perth, developing sophisticated and engaging strategies to enhance their overall wealth. While our expertise and tailored services are designed to meet the complex needs of high-income individuals, I firmly believe that high-quality financial advice should also be accessible to Australians who may not be in the top income percentile but still have objectives and goals they want to achieve.

Unless you specifically instruct us otherwise, our advice approach is holistic and comprehensive in relation to your financial needs and the advice that we provide. In other words, we are reviewing your financial situation, “head to toe” to ensure that you maximise the benefits from our expertise.

If we identify that you need advice outside of our areas of expertise, then we will refer you to a specialist in that area. For example, if you need a Will set up, we will refer you to a relevant Estate Planning Lawyer.

We believe cost should be fair and transparent and fees will always be tailored to your situation to ensure that you can see value through our advice. We of course have no shame in wanting to be paid for our services and we want a sustainable, growing business, so we can continue helping clients for the long-term! However, we are not in the market of overcharging, so that we can maximise our own profits! Here at Croeso Financial Advice we have a long-term plan for growth and will always ensure that we are able to demonstrate strong value to our clients.

Some of our clients need one off advice, some clients need ongoing advice, we will discuss this with you in our meeting, depending on what you want to achieve and promise to always keep you clear about the services that you are paying for.

We understand that “ethics” can mean many things and can be used in many different scenarios, but for us, ethics is being reputable, honourable and exemplary in all aspects of our business, from the small to the large things we do.

We believe the essence of fantastic advice, is in the strategy and not the products. Expect to spend lots of time in the first meeting fleshing out what is important to you, as this will help us model out your financial questions and give you certainty through our detailed financial modelling, of what you can achieve!

There has been immense change in the Financial Planning industry, with new products and technology improving our efficiency and service offering. However, here at Croeso Financial Advice, we are “old school” in both the strategies that we use with our clients and the type of products that we are willing to advice on.

For example, we are very “ conservative” as a business, with no appetite to “gamble” with our client’s money, through investments that are highly speculative in nature. For example, Bitcoin.

Although there is always complexity in advice, we also believe strongly in the concept of building wealth through four proven steps:- building stability, strategy, security and freedom. So, expect to have some realistic conversations, expect us to tell you the truth, no matter how hard the message and be ready to work hard to achieve the outcome you want!

Mark Smith

Managing Director

Mark started his career in finance, working for the two largest banks in the UK for over ten years. In 2013, he transitioned his financial planning career to Australia, completing another ten years as a Business & Senior Financial Planner with Bankwest, Commonwealth Bank and Empire Financial Group.

Mark founded Croeso Financial Advice Pty Ltd, with the goal of bridging the gap left by the banks after their exit from the Australian financial advice industry. His mission is to make financial advice accessible to more Australians, with a fee structure that is fair, transparent and tailored to the client’s individual situation, while maintaining the integrity, value and worth of the advice provided.

Mark is a seasoned retirement planner, with years of experience helping clients navigate complex retirement products such as GESB superannuation funds, defined pension schemes, UK Pension Transfers, and UK and Australian Government pensions. He has extensive experience in advising on SMSF’s, Wrap Accounts and Direct Equities.

Mark is a big believer that Financial Advice should encompass more than just superannuation. It should also focus on cash flow, building wealth, and achieving key goals like paying down debt and building a portfolio of sustainable investments. With his extensive experience, Mark helps clients improve their financial situation, no matter where they start. His commitment to continuous improvement and learning enables clients to become stronger, more disciplined, and focused on meeting their goals year after year.
